In 2021 Ukrainian exporters showed the highest sales of metals and agricultural products abroad

The largest volume of Ukraine’s export in 2021 has metallurgy and agricultural products, and most domestic industries show a significant increase compared to 2020.

According to the results of the year, the volume of export of non-precious metals and their products amounted to 15,98 billion US dollars, which is 77% more than in 2020, and products of vegetable origin - 15,55 billion US dollars or 30,9% more of the indicators of 2020.

The top five in terms of export also include mineral products (8,42 billion US dollars, an increase of 58%), fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin (7,05 billion US dollars, an increase of 22,6%), as well as mechanical, electrical, machinery and mechanisms (4,82 billion US dollars, 7,4% more than in the previous period).

Good results - domestic exporters of finished food products (3,8 billion US dollars, an increase of 13,1%), chemical products and related industries (2,76 billion US dollars, an increase of 36,7%), timber and timber products (2,01 billion US dollars, 42,6% more than in 2020).

“Our main task is to open as many foreign markets as possible to Ukrainian producers. We are going at least 40 in 2022. It is important to take away restrictions and deepen our presence where we already are, to stimulate double-digit trade growth”, - said First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.

It should be mentioned that the volume of export of the goods from Ukraine in 2021 makes 68,24 billion US dollars. This figure is the largest since 2012. Ukraine had previous indicators of this level in 2011 (68,39 billion US dollars) and in 2012 (68,81 billion US dollars).
