Ukrainian exporters will be taught to get into the Japanese market

Representatives of Ukraine and Japan signed 56 documents within the framework of the Conference on Economic Development and Reconstruction in Tokyo.

Among them there are intergovernmental agreements, memoranda, agreements between businesses and representatives of local authorities.

Grant agreements on the implementation of reconstruction programs were signed, as well as a number of documents between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine and Japanese companies, which provide for the provision of various agricultural machinery and equipment to Ukraine.

They also signed an intergovernmental convention on the avoidance of double taxation, which is extremely important for Japanese businesses planning new projects in Ukraine.

Besides this, Export Promotion Office and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will jointly work on the implementation of projects designed to enhance trade ties between the countries.

Thus, the office plans to establish a permanent exchange of information and transfer of contacts of Ukrainian manufacturers and IT companies, in particular through a special digital service — Catalog of Ukrainian exporters on the Diia.Business portal. The office is creating a separate section at the "Diia.Business" portal for posting information about companies that want to export certain technological solutions and goods to Ukraine for the reconstruction of the country. The Japanese side will be offered this digital service to represent companies in Ukraine and strengthen cooperation with Ukrainian business.

Also, during the visit, documents were signed in the field of energy, telecommunications, infrastructure construction and ecology.
