More than 800 000 tons of grain crops were transported to the EU through Transcarpathian customs office

Almost 800 000 tons of grain crops were transported to the EU through Transcarpathian customs office.

It is noted that today the passage and volumes of priority agricultural products and other priority cargoes across the border of Ukraine to the European Union have been increased.

"Thus, in the period from 01.03.2022 to 21.07.2022 more than 877 000 tons of grain crops were transported through the checkpoints of Transcarpathian customs ofice. In particular, 1 948 - trucks transporting grain and 13 621 - railway wagons with the specified products," - the message says.

According to the Transcarpathian customs office’s information, the largest amount of grain crops was exported in June-July - more than 450 000 tons.

The agency informed that in mid-June an international working meeting was held in Zakarpattia regional military administration with the participation of Acting head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Vyacheslav Demchenko,  President of the Slovak Financial Administration Jiří Žežulka and the head of the region Viktor Mykyta. During the negotiations the parties discussed speeding up the export of agricultural products to Slovakia and transit to EU countries through a simplified mechanism for the registration of such cargoes.
