EU reduces imports of oilseeds. Ukraine maintains leadership in rapeseed and oil supplies

In the current season, which began on 1 July 2025, the volume of oilseed imports to the European Union reached 44.3 million tons. This is a 7% decrease compared to the same period last season.

The largest suppliers of soybeans to the EU during this period were Brazil (6.2 million tons) and the USA (4.5 million tons). Rapeseed was supplied mainly by Australia (1.8 million tons) and Ukraine (1.5 million tons), while sunflower seeds came from Argentina (0.5 million tons).

Ukraine became the main supplier of oils to the EU, with 1.8 million tons of sunflower oil, 0.4 million tons of soybean oil, and 0.3 million tons of rapeseed oil imported from the country.
