No shortage of transshipment capacity is expected in the market next season. The ports are prepared for export growth, but it is becoming increasingly expensive for businesses to operate.
This was stated by TIS Executive Director Mykyta Hrubov during Grain Ukraine 2026.
This year, the TIS transport hub plans to transship approximately 18.5 million tons of cargo, of which 8–8.5 million tons will be grain.
Currently, the main problem for exporters is not the lack of capacity, but the rising costs. The export sector continues to face pressure from the energy crisis, higher railway logistics costs, and other wartime factors.
