Ukraine’s trade turnover reached $58 billion in five months

From January to May 2026, Ukraine imported goods worth $40.5 billion and exported goods worth $17.5 billion.

Taxed imports amounted to $27.8 billion, which represents 69% of the total volume of imported goods.

The main countries from which goods were imported to Ukraine are: China – $11.1 billion, Poland – $3.9 billion, and Turkey – $2.7 billion.

The top export destinations from Ukraine were: Poland – $2 billion, Turkey – $1.5 billion, and Italy – $1.1 billion.

In the total volume of goods imported in January–May 2026, 72% consisted of the following categories:

- machines, equipment and transport – $17 billion;

- fuel and energy products – $6.4 billion;

- chemical industry products – $5.7 billion.

The top three most exported Ukrainian goods were:

- food products – $10.6 billion;

- metals and metal products – $1.7 billion;

- machines, equipment and transport – $1.5 billion.

In January–May 2026, during customs clearance of goods subject to export duty, UAH 744.3 million was paid to the budget.
