During January-April 2026, 313.94 thousand tons of flat rolled metal products were directed to the Ukrainian market, which is 11.7% less than the figure for the same period in 2025.

More than 50% of imports fell on coated flat rolled products – 164.22 thousand tons, which is 10% more y/y. The main suppliers of the products during this period were Turkey – 83.34 thousand tons, South Korea – 13.7 thousand tons and Slovakia – 13.58 thousand tons.

Another 27.7% of supplies, or 87.06 thousand tons (-35.1% y/y), fell on hot-rolled flat products. The main source of supplies was Turkey – 71.03 thousand tons. Another 9.69 thousand tons were imported from China and 1.86 thousand tons from the Czech Republic.

Also during the period, 28.55 thousand tons of cold-rolled flat products were imported, which is 24.1% less y/y. 26.62 thousand tons of products were brought from Turkey, and 1.46 thousand tons from Slovakia.

In April, Ukrainian consumers imported 80.09 thousand tons of flat rolled products, which is 3.7% less y/y and 21.2% less m/m. Supplies of coated flat rolled products amounted to 45.37 thousand tons (+8.4% y/y; -6.9% m/m), hot-rolled flat products – 21.34 thousand tons (-39.2% y/y; -31.9% m/m), cold-rolled flat products – 5.46 thousand tons (-38% y/y; -51.8% m/m).

The cost of flat rolled products imports in January–April decreased by 12.9% y/y to $323.04 million, and in April it decreased by 6% y/y and by 13.6% m/m to $84.91 million.
