The volume of imports of transformers, inductive coils and chokes to Ukraine in January-April 2026 increased by 96% compared to the same period in 2025 – to $661.9 million.
In April, imports of these products increased 2.7 times compared to April last year, but decreased by 34% compared to March of the current year – to $150.5 million.
China remains the largest supplier of these products to Ukraine. Over 4 months, goods worth $611 million were imported from there (92.3% of total imports of these goods), while a year earlier transformers and chokes worth $279 million were imported from this country (82.4%).
Transformers were imported from Turkey (worth $7.2 million) and Japan (worth $6.5 million), whereas last year imports from Germany amounted to $17.4 million, and from Turkey – $13.9 million.
In January-April, Ukraine exported transformers, inductive coils and chokes worth $13.3 million (last year – $8.4 million), mainly supplying them to Germany, Poland and Hungary.
Imports of electric generator sets and rotary electric converters to Ukraine in January-April 2026 decreased by 30.4% compared to the same period in 2025 – to $359.1 million.
In April, imports of this equipment decreased by 27.4% compared to April 2025 and by 23.3% compared to March 2026 – to $60.3 million.
