In April 2026, Ukraine increased supplies of frozen beef to foreign markets amid high global prices for red meat and a shortage of products in countries that are key producers.
In April, Ukrainian exporters shipped 1.78 thousand tons of frozen beef, which is 7% more compared to March 2026 and 18% more than in the same period last year.
Monetary revenue from exports reached almost $8.14 million, which exceeds the March figure by 10% and the April 2025 figure by 45%.
In total, in January – April 2026, Ukraine exported 5.69 thousand tons of frozen beef for the amount of $25.94 million. In physical terms, this is 6% less than last year, however, foreign currency revenue increased by 13%.
Also, 352 tons of fresh or chilled beef went to foreign markets (-25% compared to the previous month and 17 times more relative to April 2025). Export revenue for the product amounted to $2.95 million (-20% from March and 22 times more relative to April last year).
