Ukraine reduced imports of metallurgical coke by 9.9% y/y in the first quarter

Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine, according to the results of January-March 2026, reduced imports of coke and semi-coke by 9.9% compared to the same period of 2025 – to 191.42 thousand tons.

Almost the entire volume of supplies for the period came from Polish products – 188.27 thousand tons (+3.7% y/y). Another 2.05 thousand tons were imported from the Czech Republic, which is 33.4% less y/y. The cost of raw material imports for 3 months decreased by 1.5% y/y, to $66.98 million.

In March, coke imports to Ukraine increased by 21% y/y and 25.6% m/m, to 68.31 thousand tons, while the cost of imports increased by 32.5% y/y and 26.7% m/m, to $24.23 million.
