Electricity imports to Ukraine in April 2026 decreased by 40% compared to the previous month – to 558.2 thousand MWh.
Supplies decreased in all directions except the Polish one. At the beginning of April, imports through the Slovak border were suspended due to repairs on the interstate line, which will last until the end of May 2026.
Imports from Moldova also dropped significantly, by 75% compared to March. The largest volume of electricity continues to come through the Hungarian border – 55%.
At the same time, compared to April 2025, electricity imports increased 2.8 times. The largest year-on-year growth in supplies was through the Romanian border – 4 times. At the same time, imports from Slovakia and Moldova decreased over this period.
Electricity exports in April 2026 increased by 10% compared to March 2026 – to 33 thousand MWh.
In particular, supplies through the Romanian border doubled. Compared to April 2025, exports decreased by 78%.
