Ukrainian carriers will be able to perform road transportation with Morocco

On April 30, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Morocco on international road transportation.

The agreement was signed in July 2025. Its ratification is the final step for launching full-fledged transportation between the countries on a legal basis. The decision was supported by 234 members of parliament.

Today, economic cooperation already exists between Ukraine and Morocco: trade turnover in 2024 amounted to about 280 million dollars and continues to grow. At the same time, Ukrainian carriers actually had no opportunity to perform direct transportation between the countries – logistics were carried out through third countries, which complicated routes, increased costs and reduced competitiveness.

The agreement defines:

rules of access for carriers to the market of international road transportation;

conditions for the carriage of passengers and goods;

the possibility of bilateral, transit transportation and transportation to third countries.

After the agreement enters into force, Ukrainian carriers will be able to perform direct transportation between Ukraine and Morocco and actually expand routes and the geography of their operations.
