In January-March 2026, the long rolled metal products market in Ukraine showed significant import growth – by 63.9% compared to the same period of 2026, to 81.48 thousand tons.

The main volumes of supplies are other bars and rods of carbon steel, without further processing, twisted – 26.74 thousand tons, which is 3.2 times more y/y. Turkey sent 20.39 thousand tons of products, Egypt – 4.99 thousand tons.

Also, 24.72 thousand tons of angles, shaped and special profiles made of non-alloy steel were imported, which is 8% less y/y. 15.94 thousand tons of products were imported from Turkey, 4.88 thousand tons from China, and 2.06 thousand tons from Poland.

A significant share of supplies falls on hot-rolled bars and rods made of carbon steel in coils – 20.47 thousand tons (+4 times y/y). China sent almost the entire volume of products to the Ukrainian market – 20.33 thousand tons.

In March 2026, 16.26 thousand tons of long rolled metal products were sent to the Ukrainian market, which is 35.1% less compared to March 2025 and 33.6% less than the previous month.
