Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises in January-March 2026 reduced the export of long rolled metal products by 60.5% compared to the same period of 2025 – to 69.58 thousand tons.
37.7% of the total volume of long rolled products export falls on other bars and rods of carbon steel, without further processing, twisted – 26.23 thousand tons (-59.7% y/y). 13.88 thousand tons were shipped to Poland, 9.76 thousand tons to Moldova, and 2.32 thousand tons to Romania.
Ukrainian producers exported 19.25 thousand tons of wire made of non-alloy steel during this period, which is 42.5% less y/y. The main part of the products was sent to Poland – 4.87 thousand tons. Another 4.35 thousand tons were exported to Germany and 2.33 thousand tons to Moldova.
16.29 thousand tons (-73.6% y/y) of export falls on hot-rolled bars and rods made of carbon steel in coils. Among the main consumers: Poland – 8.44 thousand tons, Lithuania – 3.74 thousand tons, Romania – 2.82 thousand tons.
In March, the export of long rolled products amounted to 28.47 thousand tons, which is 53.1% less than in March 2025, but 28.8% more than the previous month.
The export of other bars and rods of carbon steel, without processing, twisted was 9.89 thousand tons (-64% y/y; -18.7% m/m), wire made of non-alloy steel – 7.44 thousand tons (-30.1% y/y; +36.1% m/m), hot-rolled bars and rods made of carbon steel in coils – 8.34 thousand tons (-54.8% y/y; +201% m/m).
Foreign currency revenue from the export of long rolled products in January-March decreased by 55.8% y/y to $52.95 million, and in March – by 48.7% y/y and increased by 31.7% m/m to $21.5 million.
