China has become the largest supplier of electrical components to Ukraine: in 2025, more than 85% of Ukraine’s imports came from the PRC.

Imports of electrical components to Ukraine in 2025 increased by 88% compared to 2024, reaching a total volume of 947 million euros.

85.6% of imports, worth 809 million euros, came from China. In 2024, the share of supplies from the PRC was 67.5%, amounting to 339 million euros.

The imported goods include transformers, inductors, and chokes, which are mainly used at electrical substations.

In 2025, Ukraine also imported transformers from Germany (worth 39 million euros) and Turkey (worth 17 million euros).

At the same time, Ukraine exported its own electrical components worth approximately 29 million euros, mainly to Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia.
