Sea exports in 2025 exceeded the export figure for 2024

Over the first 11 months of 2025, the ports of Greater Odesa handled nearly 68 million tons of cargo, while the Danube ports handled over 8 million tons.

In the course of 2025, export volumes equaled the combined total for 2023–2024.

Despite systematic attacks on critical infrastructure, six seaports – Pivdennyi, Odesa, Chornomorsk, Ust-Dunaisk, Izmail, and Reni – continued to ensure the country’s exports and imports.

The backbone of waterborne logistics during wartime has been the Ukrainian maritime corridor, established after Russia withdrew from the Black Sea Grain Initiative in July 2023.

Since that time, more than 160 million tons of cargo have been transported through the corridor on board over 6,000 vessels, of which more than 96 million tons were products from Ukrainian agrarians.
