Updated trade agreement between Ukraine and the EU enters into force

The updated trade agreement between the EU and Ukraine entered into force today, October 29, 2025.

The document provides for changes to tariff quotas for a number of types of agricultural and food products. Compared to 2021 levels, the quotas will increase as follows: honey – by 583.3%; sugar – by 500%; processed starch – by 500%; barley groats and meal; cereals processed in other ways – by 435.8%; bran, husks, and residues – by 386%; dry milk – by 308%; eggs – by 300%; malt – by 250%; processed tomatoes – by 250%; processed sugar products – by 250%; starches – by 244%; butter – by 233.3%; oats – by 192.5%; corn – by 153%; milk, cream, condensed milk – by 150%; garlic – by 150%; other sugars – by 150%; apple juice – by 150%; products from processed butter – by 150%; sugar corn – by 150%; mannitol-sorbitol – by 150%; processed cereal products – by 150%; sugar syrups – by 135%; poultry meat – by 133.3%; wheat – by 130%; ethanol – by 125%; barley – by 122.2%.
