Last week, due to low supply, export prices for barley in Ukraine increased at ports to 10,100–10,200 UAH per tonne.

As of August 15, 2025, Ukraine harvested 4.73 million tonnes of barley. Analysts forecast the total harvest to be 5.2–5.3 million tonnes, which is lower than the USDA’s projection of 5.5 million tonnes and last year’s level of 5.8 million tonnes.

Since the start of the 2025/2026 marketing year, as of August 13, Ukraine exported 462,000 tonnes of barley out of a projected 2 million tonnes for export.

Last week, processors increased purchases of malting barley, raising prices to 10,500–10,700 UAH per tonne with delivery to factories.
