According to a USDA report, Ukraine’s chicken production in 2026 is projected to reach 1.44 million tons, up by 30,000 tons from this year’s estimate and 50,000 tons higher than in 2024.
Experts forecast that chicken exports will increase to 490,000 tons in 2026, compared to 470,000 tons this year and 463,000 tons in 2024.
The USDA predicts that domestic chicken consumption in 2026 will grow as consumers shift from other meats, driven by lower prices and perceptions of poultry as healthier.
The trend of increasing poultry exports and reducing imports is expected to continue in 2025 and 2026, with exports likely to shift from the EU to the UK, the Middle East, and Africa.
