Lithuania buys over 70% of Ukrainian snail exports

In January–July 2025, Ukraine exported 18.2% fewer mollusks compared to the same period last year, reaching 576 tons. In monetary terms, mollusk sales on foreign markets during these seven months decreased by 4.7% to $3.4 million. The main buyers of Ukrainian mollusks were Lithuania (71.1%), Spain (20.8%), and Poland (3.9%).

Mollusk imports over the same period increased by 4.5% compared to January–July 2024, reaching 3,200 tons. In monetary terms, $14.2 million was spent on importing mollusks, a 26.8% increase from the same period in 2024. The largest suppliers of mollusks to the Ukrainian market in 2025 were China (30.5%), Chile (27.2%), and France (16.2%).
