The Eastern Interregional Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection at the state border announced restrictions on imports from the U.S. state of Pennsylvania due to reported cases of avian influenza. 

The ban applies to hatching eggs, poultry, and poultry products. 

The decision was made based on official information from the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). An exception is made for products that have undergone processing methods ensuring the elimination of the avian influenza pathogen, in accordance with the requirements for importing animal-derived food products.
