The government of Kazakhstan extended anti-dumping measures on galvanized rolled products produced in Ukraine and the PRC, as well as on hot-deformed seamless pipes from China, for six months.
In addition, the ban on the export of steel billets and semi-finished products has been extended for six months. It is noted that the positive result of the previously introduced ban was the reorientation of existing capacities from the production of semi-finished products in the form of steel billets to deeper processing in the metallurgical industry and an increase in the export of rebar by almost 30 thousand tons.
It is also reported that a proposal to introduce a three-month ban on the import of plasterboard and stone products from countries that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has been supported.
At the same time, automatic licensing of plywood exports from Kazakhstan has been approved, which will allow for an analysis of plywood export flows from the country.
