This season, Ukraine significantly increased sunflower oil exports to India and Iraq, despite a smaller sunflower harvest. India remains the largest buyer of Ukrainian sunflower oil, accounting for 23% of the market. From September to April, 519,000 tons were supplied to India, which is twice as much as the 209,000 tons in the same period last year.

However, competition from Russia has increased, with its share reaching 63% from November to March, compared to 36% the previous year. Exports to Iraq increased ninefold over the year, reaching 176,000 tons. In the first 16 days of April, a record 58,000 tons were exported – the highest monthly volume ever.
