Moldova imported 99.22% of soybeans from Ukraine from 2022 to March 2025, which supplied 56.64 thousand tons of products to this market.
The total trade turnover during the analyzed period reached 71.42 thousand tons, in particular, 79.9% accounted for imports, and 20.1% for exports of soybeans.
Ukraine has consistently been a leader in soybean supplies throughout the analyzed period. In 2022, it accounted for 99.99% of imports (14.84 thousand tons), in 2023 – 97.19% (10.08 thousand tons), in 2024 – 99.50% (30.20 thousand tons), and in the first quarter of 2025 – 9%.
Other importing countries had a significantly smaller share. Germany held second place with a share of 0.39% of total imports (0.22 thousand tons), with all imports from this country occurring in 2023. Romania was in third place with a share of 0.26% (0.15 thousand tons), with the majority of imports from this country taking place in 2024.
