Since the beginning of the year, cheese imports have increased by 19.6%

In January-February 2025, Ukraine imported 6.1 thousand tons of cheese, a 19.6% increase compared to the first two months of 2024. The cost of cheese imports reached $36 million, a 18.8% increase from January-February 2024. Cheeses were primarily imported to Ukraine from Poland (50.2%), the Netherlands (8.4%), and Italy (8%).

Exports of Ukrainian cheeses in January-February 2025 reached 2 thousand tons, a 17.6% increase over the same period last year. In monetary terms, exports generated $9.4 million, which is 28.8% higher than the figure for January-February 2024. The largest buyers during the first two months of 2025 were Kazakhstan (36%), Moldova (35.1%), and Germany (6.6%).
