Press cake is responsible for more than 3% of Ukraine’s exports. Last year, 4.8 million tons of sunflower press cake were sold abroad for $1.03 billion, and 725,000 tons of soybean press cake for $304 million. Sunflower press cake is primarily exported to China (31.5%) and Poland (12%), while soybean press cake goes mainly to Poland (46%) and Hungary (24%). Press cake is used as animal feed and as a component in the production of complete compound feeds and feed mixtures.
