Ukraine increased imports of dairy products from the EU by 8% in 2024

According to a report by the Institute of Agrarian Economics (IAE), Ukraine increased imports of dairy products from the EU by 8% in 2024.

Dairy products took 7% of imports from the EU.

Last year, companies imported dairy products worth $277 million. At the same time, the key product in the imports of this group turned out to be various cheeses, which were purchased last year for $225 million.

The European Union continues to maintain its position as the main supplier of agri-food products to Ukraine, consistently meeting the needs of our domestic market with a diverse range of goods produced, accumulated, and distributed by the member states of this integration entity.

In December, imports of rennet cheeses (hard, semi-hard, and white varieties) increased by 50% compared to December 2023, reaching 4,600 tons.

Deliveries of European processed cheeses, in the same comparison, increased by 28%, exceeding 500 tons.
