The agreement regulates veterinary, sanitary and phytosanitary requirements for the supply of wild-caught aquatic products to the Chinese market, in particular fish and seafood caught in natural waters, and peas.
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food V. Koval noted that launching Ukrainian agricultural exports to the Chinese market is a strategic step to strengthen the economy and expand the geography of supplies.
“The new protocols continue the cooperation between Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China in the field of agricultural trade, which has been actively developing since 2019. It is expected that Ukrainian companies will soon be able to start supplying products to China in accordance with the new requirements,” the statement reads.
