Ukraine has surpassed Spain and entered the top 10 global fruit and vegetable producers ranking

Egypt, Indonesia, and Ukraine have overtaken Spain in the global ranking of fruit and vegetable-producing countries. Spain has dropped out of the top 10 due to being surpassed by Egypt, Indonesia, and Ukraine.
         Fepex reports that Spanish production fell by 10% from 2020 to 2023, dropping from 31 million tons to 28 million tons.

The top 10 fruit and vegetable-producing countries in 2023 are:

  • China – 781.5 million tons;
  • India – 221 million tons;
  • USA – 68.7 million tons;
  • Turkey – 56 million tons;
  • Brazil – 48 million tons;
  • Mexico – 40 million tons;
  • Russia – 35 million tons;
  • Indonesia – 34 million tons;
  • Egypt – 33 million tons;
  • Ukraine – 30 million tons.
