Ukrainian soybeans regain their positions in the world market, despite the reduction in import by China

As of January 6, 2025, soybean export from Ukraine reached 460 thousand tons, which indicates stable supply dynamics. Despite the seasonal decline in activity on the world market due to the holiday period, Ukrainian exporters are maintaining their positions. However, the global soybean market faces a number of fundamental challenges, including a high world harvest and economic problems in China, one of the key importers.

Despite the difficult economic situation in China, which may reduce soybean imports to 95-100 million tons, the market shows stability. Since August last year, prices on the stock exchange have been stable, and even short-term drops are quickly compensated. This indicates that the stock market is still ignoring global challenges. Of course, high world stocks add uncertainty, but the trend towards price recovery persists. Ukrainian soybean exporters can use this period to strengthen their positions.
