For Ukraine and France, 2024 ended with good results in mutual agricultural trade. Ukraine has exported corn, rapeseed, sunflower oil, honey.

In return, agricultural machinery, seeds, and plant protection products were purchased from France. Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitalii Koval and Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry of the French Republic Anne Genevér discussed Ukrainian-French cooperation in the agricultural sector and issues of European integration. Ukraine has also begun an active phase of negotiations with the European Commission on joining the EU, so the experience and support of France are very important. According to the Ukrainian minister, meetings of Ukrainian and French specialists at the level of agricultural departments would be useful in order to speed up the process of implementing EU norms into Ukrainian legislation.

For her part, Genevar expressed her solidarity and assured support for Ukraine. In particular, France will soon send experts to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy to help implement European standards in the field of sanitary and phytosanitary regulations, as well as animal welfare.
