In half a year, Ukrainian export of goods reduced to 24%

For the first half of 2022, the export of goods from Ukraine amounted to 22,7 billion dollars, or 76% of last year's figure. At the same time, imports decreased by 19,1% to 25,2 billion dollars in annual terms. The negative balance of trade amounted to 2,5 billion dollars against 1,2 billion dollars in the first half of 2021.

The export-import coverage ratio was 0,9 against 0,96 in the first half  last year. In total, Ukraine traded with 221 countries. For this period of time, the largest share in Ukrainian exports was made up of products of vegetable origin - 24,1% of the total export, mainly metals (primarily - ferrous) - 17,6%, oils - 12,1%, and mineral products - 12,3%.

As for import, more than a quarter of all import is fuel - 25,1%. A lot of machinery and electrical equipment were also imported - 15,3%.
