The issue of unblocking Ukrainian ports will be on the agenda of the World Trade Organization

Unlocking Ukrainian ports for food security will be a major Ukrainian issue on the World Trade Organization agenda. This was announced by the First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko after a meeting with WTO Director General Ngozi Okondji-Iveala at the World Economic Forum.

“We are grateful for the personal efforts of the Director General of the WTO in finding a solution to the logistics of Ukrainian grain, which is so vital for Ukraine, Africa and the whole world. Free and fair trade will save the world from hunger and impoverishment,” - Yulia Svyridenko stressed. During the meeting, the officials also agreed on cooperation before the start of the 12th WTO Ministerial Conference to be held on June 12-15 in Geneva.
