Based on the results of the 2024/25 marketing year the EU imported 611 thousand tons of sugar.
Ukraine’s share of sugar imports amounted to 17%. Other major exporters to the EU are Mauritius, the United Kingdom, Colombia.
At the same time, EU sugar exports to third countries amounted to 1.6 million tons. The main export destinations were Israel, the United Kingdom, and Libya.

Read MoreAt the request of business the Cabinet of Ministers banned export of unprocessed timber. The decision was made following a visit to Rivne region. It provides for licensing of timber exports – with a zero quota until the end of the year. Timber harvesting in Ukraine significantly decreased during the full-scale war. Due to the shortage of raw wood, enterprises are either suspending operations or working at minimal capacity.

The main supplier of mustard seeds to the EU is Canada, which shipped 8,5 thousand tons of oilseed mustard – 3.2% more compared to last year. This volume reached a 10-year maximum.
