Zelenskyy signed the credit agreement approved by the Verkhovna Rada on the EU loan of 90 billion euros

President V. Zelenskyy signed the law on the Credit Agreement and the Memorandum of Understanding, thanks to which Ukraine is to receive financial assistance from the EU in the amount of 90 billion euros.

The Memorandum concerns macro-financial assistance of 8.35 billion euros, the receipt of which provides for Ukraine to fulfill a number of requirements.

The adoption of the documents by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as the next step – approval by 24 EU member states that are providing Ukraine with 90 billion within the framework of the enhanced cooperation mechanism (27 EU member states without Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia), – will enable the EU to transfer the first tranche of the loan as soon as possible.

The 1st tranche of macro-financial assistance to the budget of Ukraine under the 90 billion euro loan in the amount of 3.2 billion euros is expected to arrive approximately in mid-June.
