The World Bank and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development will allocate 200 million USD to guarantee the financial risks in Ukraine

The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency of the World Bank Group (MIGA) and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have signed an Agreement, according to which MIGA will give up to 200 million USD in trade finance guarantees. 

The main beneficiary of the Agreement will be Ukraine, where the initial MIGA guarantee for EBRD will be immediately used to support trade finance.

It has also been mentioned that the new partnership of MIGA and the EBRD will contribute to humanitarian demands of Ukraine and will help to support development of such sectors as agriculture. At the same time it will provide important imports needed for production.
