In April, the cost of grain transportation by railway reduced by 8-32%, depending on the transport connection. Now the total cost of transporting grain in wagons of Ukrzaliznytsia is:

in export traffic in the direction of sea ports - 22,1-23,6 US dollars/ton without VAT (-10,4%);

in domestic and import connection - 22,9-23,6 US dollars/ton without VAT (-31,62%);

in the export connection in the direction of the western crossings – 38,5 US  dollars/ton without VAT (-7,67%).

In March 2023, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 12,2 million tons of cargoes, which was the highest monthly volume of transportation since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In the structure of export transportation, the first place is occupied by grain cargoes - 2,5 million tons (47%).
