During 5 months of 2024 the trade turnover of Ukraine amounted to 44,3 billion USD.
“During January-May of 2024 Ukraine imported products worth 27,5 billion USD, when exports amounted to 16,8 billion USD”, informs the statement. At the same time, taxed imports made up 80% of the total volume – 23,7 billion USD. The tax burden on 1 kg of taxed imports was 0,50 USD/kg, which is 10% more than in the same period of 2023.
The most imported products were: automobiles, equipment and transports (worth - 9,4 billion USD, the customs clearance of these products provided the state budget with 69,2 billion USD, which equals 31% of customs payments); chemical products – worth 5,1 billion USD (36,8 billion UAH, 16% customs payments); fuel and energy products — worth 3,4 billion USD (54,6 billion UAH, 24%).
The State Customs Service named the countries from which the most goods were imported to Ukraine. This is China – 5,3 billion USD, Poland – 2,9 billion USD and Germany – 2,2 billion USD.
The top 3 exported goods from Ukraine included food products – for 10,8 billion USD, metals and products from them – for 1,8 billion USD, mineral products – for 1,6 billion USD. 128 million UAH were paid to the budget during the customs clearance of the export of goods subject to an export duty.
Ukraine mostly exported goods to Poland (worth 1,7 billion USD), China (1,4 billion USD), Spain (1,4 billion USD).
