Ukrainian business is in 20 countries out of 36, uses the latest version of NCTS joint transit

NCTS is an IT tool that technically allows businesses to use a single customs declaration with a single guarantee for movements between the 36 Convention countries.

Convention countries have started the development and transition to NCTS Phase 5 from March 2021*.

Ukraine had 1,5 years less time to develop NCTS Phase 5 compared to other countries of the Convention, and also started this process during the work of the Assessment Mission before directly joining the family of countries of the Convention on October 1, 2022.

Despite the full-scale war, the state authorities of Ukraine, thanks to the constant support of our international partners, in particular the EU Program for the Support of Public Finance Management in Ukraine (EU4PFM), since April 22 this year have ensured the possibility of Ukrainian businesses working in the latest version of NCTS.

Since the beginning of Ukraine's accession to the "customs visa-free" system, the dynamics of declarations in the joint transit procedure continues to grow: for today, the State Customs Service has issued more than 100 000 NCTS declarations, of which 21 000 - in 4 months of using NCTS Phase 5.
