Ukraine can export an additional 46 thousand tons of sugar to the EU already in 2025. On 29 October 2025, the updated trade agreement between Ukraine and the EU came into force. It provides for an increase of the tariff quota for white sugar by 400% – up to 100 thousand tons.

According to Resolution №1368 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 29 October 2025, this volume will be distributed among exporters in proportion to their sugar export volumes to the EU from January to May 2025.
