Ukraine is one of three leaders in the supply of poultry meat to the EU

During 7 months of 2019 Ukraine has supplied Europe with 79,5 thousand tons of poultry meat. This is 5,2% more  than in January-July of 2018. Now, Ukraine is on the 3rd place and Thailand and Brazil are on the 1st and 2nd positions.

Ukraine is increasing its export position in the world poultry meat market. According to the State Statistics, last year it exported 328 tons of poultry meat and occupied the 6th position in the universal exporters’ list. Moreover, Ukraine exported more than Russia and Canada.

The European Commission has recently initiated the increase of export quotas for Ukrainian poultry meat (from 20 thousand tons to 70 thousand tons per year). It will let local producers to increase poultry meat supplies to Europe.

They say, that the European Commission’s decision is connected with the largest Ukrainian poultry meat producer – agricultural holding “Myronivskyi Khliboproduct” (a trade mark “Nasha Riaba”), owned by Yurii Kosiuk.
