Ukraine is increasing onion export

Ukraine continues to increase onion export based on a growing deficit of European products in the country and a reduce in domestic prices.

In particular, Ukrainian exporters increased the volume of onion supplies to Romania and Moldova, as well as slightly expanded the geography of sales. Last week wholesale onion batches from Ukraine were exported to Bulgaria, Greece and North Macedonia.

Onion prices in Ukraine fell significantly last week. Market participants estimate that this reduce is temporary, and after the sale of surplus onions of low quality, prices will increase again and even exceed previously reached levels.
