In January–October this year, Ukraine’s imports of electric generating sets and rotary electric converters increased 3,6 times compared to the same period in 2024, reaching $1,4 billion.
Electric generators and converters were most frequently imported from Romania (19,5%, or $272,1 million), the Czech Republic (18,2%, $254,6 million), and Poland (12,6%, $175,3 million). A year earlier, the main suppliers were China ($88,3 million), Turkey ($80,6 million) and the Czech Republic ($54,6 million).
In October, imports of this equipment rose by 89,3% compared to October 2024, reaching $187,8 million, although this figure was 2% lower than in September 2024.
Ukraine’s exports of electric generators in January–October remained insignificant, totaling $3,6 million, with shipments mainly going to the Czech Republic, Latvia and Bulgaria.
In addition, over 10 months Ukraine’s imports of electric batteries and separators increased by 53,4%, reaching $1,06 billion. Most of these imports came from China ($740,6 million, or 70,2%), followed by Vietnam (96,2 million, 9%) and Taiwan ($53,8 million, 5%)
Last year the largest suppliers were China with a share of 82%, Bulgaria (3,1%), and the Czech Republic (3%).
At the same time, in October 2025, imports of these products increased by 13,2% compared to October 2024, reaching $144,9 million.
Meanwhile, in January–October, Ukraine exported batteries worth $43,9 million, mainly to Poland (33%), Germany (12,9%), and France (11,9%). The year earlier, battery exports amounted to $34,1 million, with nearly 30% shipped to Poland, 14,7% to France, and 11% to Germany.
