In three months of 2024, Ukraine has exported macaroni products in the amount of 8 000 tons, which is half as much as in the corresponding period last year.
The current year continues last year's positive trend - in the first quarter, our export of pasta products increased by half compared to January-March 2023, amounting to 8 thousand tons worth 17 million US dollars. The main buyers of Ukrainian dough products are now Germany, Great Britain and Romania, whose joint share is equal to 43% in monetary terms. In 2023 Ukraine has exported macaroni products in the amount of about 24 thousand tons for the total amount of almost 53 million US dollars, which appeared to be a third more than in 2022.
Last year, the determining foreign market for the sale of macaroni products was the European Union, from which revenues in the amount of about 43 million US dollars were received, i.e. 4/5 of the total. The greatest demand for Ukrainian dough products was in Germany (4,6 thousand tons), Romania (3,1 thousand tons), Moldova (3,0 thousand tons), Poland (2,0 thousand tons), Latvia (1,5 thousand tons), Great Britain (1,4 thousand tons), Lithuania (1,4 thousand tons) and Bulgaria (1,1 thousand tons).
Significant deliveries were also made to Israel, the USA, Burkina Faso, Palestine, and Iraq.
The commodity structure of the export of dough products in 2023 consisted of products without fillings - 2,2 thousand tons, pasta products with various fillings - 4,0 thousand tons, as well as others, in particular instant macaroni - 17,5 thousand tons.
