In September 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported a record monthly volume of rapeseed oil – 108.8 thousand tons, which is 4.5 times higher than the August figure.

Notably, 92 thousand tons, or 85% of the total export, were shipped to the European Union, also setting a record for this direction.

Moreover, in September, Ukraine became the leader among suppliers of rapeseed oil to the EU. According to the European Commission, from July to August of the current season, the majority of this product was imported from Kenya. However, by the end of July to September 21, 2025, Ukraine reclaimed its leadership in this ranking with a volume of 23 thousand tons (compared to 49 thousand tons during the same period last year).

The increase in Ukrainian rapeseed oil shipments in September is linked to the growth in domestic rapeseed processing following the introduction of an export duty on rapeseed starting September 4, 2025.
