Ukraine received an additional 100 basic quotas for international freight transportation in 2023. These quotas will allow unimpeded transportation of goods by cars through the territories of the countries participating in the multilateral quota permission system of the European Conference of Ministers of Transport, or ECMT.
In total, next year Ukraine will have 475 basic quotas. This is 27% more than it was in 2022 and over the last few years. ECMT permits are required by carriers making transportations to 52 ECMT member countries. They provide an opportunity to carry out not only bilateral and transit transportation of goods, but also their transportation to/from third countries.
