During a 9-month period of this year Ukraine has exported to the European market 248 tons of snails. It has to be noted that in 2018 the exports volume of these products to the EU was 93 tons. This information was provided on Wednesday by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Over the last two years, the number of domestic companies that have the right to supply snail products to the European Union has increased. According to the results of the third quarter of 2019, 17 Ukrainian companies were granted this right. Let us remember that in 2018, there were only 5.

The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in order to ensure uninterrupted export of these products published an international health certificate for the import of chilled, frozen, in the shell, cooked, processed, canned snails intended for human consumption on its official website.
