Ukraine has agreed with Montenegro on "transport visa-free" for cargo transportations

The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine has agreed on "transport visa-free" for cargo transportations with the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Montenegro, which is not a member of the European Union.

This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro. The parties agreed on the liberalization of all cargo transportations between the countries from June 1, 2024.

During the negotiations, the parties also raised the issue of the possibility of non-parity performance of passenger transportation by Ukrainian companies, the embassy noted.

"For today the parties have agreed that if the Montenegrin carrier refuses to go through the traffic route, then the Ukrainian company may serve this traffic route independently," - the message says.
