For many years, Ukraine has steadily been among the top five suppliers of organic products to the EU. Currently, Ukraine has 260 certified operators compliant with national organic legislation and 436 operators compliant with EU and/or U.S. legislation.
Two certification bodies are now operational in Ukraine, reflecting growing demand and interest from producers.
Approximately 350,000 hectares of agricultural land in Ukraine hold organic status, accounting for about 1.2% of the country’s total agricultural land.
The highest demand among buyers in Ukraine is for organic dairy products. In 2024, sales of dairy products reached 3,033 tons, valued at 515 million UAH. In second place are vegetables, fruits, and mushrooms, with 2,880 tons sold for 169 million UAH, followed by cereals, flour, snacks, and grains, with 1,116 tons sold for 118 million UAH.
