Ukraine bans poultry imports from Canada, sheep and goats from Serbia

Ukraine has imposed restrictions on the import of poultry products from Canada due to avian influenza.

The import into Ukraine of hatching eggs, poultry, and products derived from them from the Canadian province of Alberta is prohibited. Exceptions are made for products that have undergone processing methods guaranteeing the destruction of the pathogen of the specified disease. It is also prohibited to import relevant cargo from the provinces of Manitoba, Quebec, British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Additionally, starting September 24, the import into Ukraine from the Republic of Serbia of animals susceptible to sheeppox and goatpox, reproductive material, and unprocessed wool and hair from them is prohibited.
